Aspect House is a new residential development of 130 units above an existing two-storey retail building in Peterborough. ONLEVEL supplied glass and fixings for glass balustrades and Juliet balconies throughout the build.
This project was one of ONLEVEL’s early collaborations with our client Vinco Windows, supplied across five phases.
The Aspect House development, set over four floors, is located in Peterborough city centre, close to the shopping centre, local restaurants and bars, and mainline train station. Designed and built to a high specification, the units are ideal for London commuters, entrepreneurs and professional individuals or couples.
ONLEVEL were brought onto the project by Vinco Windows to supply the fixings and glass for glass balustrades, and Juliet balconies with our SKYFORCE fall protection system.
The project focus was on delivering high-end, contemporary accommodation that brought in as much natural light as possible. Glass balustrades and Juliet balconies are ideal applications for this purpose and specification.
SKYFORCE fall protection system
Our SKYFORCE fall protection system for Juliet balconies is a pre-assembled, almost invisible application that consists of the glass, a profile for mounting and drainage channels.
Suitable for plastic, aluminium, wooden and metal frames, it saves around 30 minutes to install the SKYFORCE system thanks to its simple ‘slide and click’ technique, and requires almost no tools to complete. The glass can be mounted directly onto the window frame or masonry from inside or outside.
All glass thicknesses, heights and widths can be accommodated by just one profile. The SKYFORCE fall protection system is customisable to meet the requirements of each project.
Products supplied by Onlevel for the Aspect House project
• 96 x 1100mm high SKYFORCE sets complete with glass and fixings for the window frames of Juliet balconies
• 12 meters of TL6020 profile, complete with glass and fixings for a concrete base. The TL6020 profile can withstand a linear load of 1.5 kN and is suitable for glass thicknesses between 12mm and 21.52mm. The TL6020 profile is 140mm high, 60mm wide and available in 2500mm and 5000mm lengths
• 21.52mm toughened laminated glass throughout the development
• All applications were powder coated to RAL 7016 colour specification, which is an on-trend anthracite grey. Powder coating provides weather resistance and UV stability.
